Understand who controls the domain

Atom's current buyer terms say the domain is placed in an Atom-managed registrar account during the payment period, while the buyer can update DNS settings. Full ownership is transferred after the total purchase price is paid.

Treat installments as a commitment

Before starting, compare the full contractual purchase amount with your budget and alternative domains. Review what happens after a missed payment and whether prior installments are refundable.

Budget beyond the purchase

The domain still needs renewal, DNS, security, and normal website operations after acquisition. A payment plan should fit alongside those costs rather than consuming the entire branding budget.
